Azerbaijan auctions 17 additional mining deposits for operation

Azerbaijan has opened 17 new mining deposits for operation via a recent auction, as reported by Azernews, citing the State Service. This initiative, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy’s Center for Organization of Auctions, the State Agency for Use of Mineral Resources, and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, aims to boost the country’s mineral resource exploitation.

Significant increases in bid values were seen during the auction. For instance, the “Yeni Yaşma I” sand-gravel deposit in Khizi saw its proposal jump from 7,079 manats to an impressive 201,000 manats. Similarly, the bid for LOT-1 of the “Tezekend” sand-gravel deposit rose from 15,000 manats to 236,000 manats. The “Kürdçü” sand deposit, initially priced at 13,897 manats, was successfully allocated for 200,000 manats.

In addition to sand and sand-gravel deposits, the auction also included deposits of clay, granodiorite and andesite, which are now available for investment.
