Kazakhstan and Mongolia partner for joint mineral resource exploration and development

Kazakhstan and Mongolia have formalized a collaboration to explore and develop mineral resources, as announced by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. During his official visit to Mongolia, Tokayev highlighted the significant mineral wealth of both nations, stating, “We will work together on the exploration and development of iron, phosphate, bauxite and rare mineral deposits.”

He further expressed Kazakhstan’s readiness to engage in the opportunities within Mongolia’s mining sector, indicating a strong commitment from Kazakh businesses to invest and explore potential ventures in the region. This partnership aims to leverage the rich mineral resources of both countries to enhance their economic ties and boost the mining industry.
